Supertuxkart running really slow

Hi,
I just upgraded to Jaunty and followed the mod as describer here (http://http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1130582) ('Optimal'). Although video has improved, Supertuxcart is still running slowly. So slowly in fact that I actually won a race for the first time!
Please could someone suggest a fix? I have integrated Intel shared graphics memory chipset. I love this game, and even though I nearly always lost I never tired of playing it.

You have a very poor video chip so if your monitor is high resolution then you will get very slow frame rates. Use the config in supertuxcart to set the screen resolution to something low - 600x800 looks fine on my old laptop. Framerates should be playable...
