Hi everyone. I'm trying to find an app to control my Line6 POD in Gnome. When I was using OpenSUSE 11, I was able to use a program called qtpod, and another called PODgui. Neither of these will compile in ubuntu 9.04. I'm getting a message that ./configure is not a directory(?) Therefore, I can't get close to making this work. There's a makefile in there, but it's chock full of errors if i try to run it. Certainly I'm not the only guy using Jaunty that has a POD! I'm unpacking it OK, and I'm changing to the proper directory, and I also tried as root, so the obvious no-brainer mistakes are eliminated. Does anyone here have a better means of controlling this device? I very seldom post to these forums, so if you need more info, just let me know what I need to do. Thanks for any help on this.

ok, i tried that. it failed miserably. I don't use usb for my POD 2.0....it just plugs into a midi port on my soundcard. I'm not sure if this is for a usb only connection or not. I also tried installing Line6 Edit with crossover and it stalls at the java install. I need java 1.50. maybe if i install that first i can get it working as a (yuk) windows app. Thanks for the suggestion and i'll keep pluggin away here.
