View Full Version : [ubuntu] Compiz Idiocy...Middle Mouse Button

Hi all

I have given up and decided to ask. The Compiz Idiocy is mine, not Compiz's.

I was messing around yesterday with all sorts of settings, and now have a nice Desktop sphere, zoomed how I want it, skydome implemented, reflections etc - All very pretty and funky.

That said, I noticed this morning that I have remapped my middle mouse button somewhere, so when I click it on the desktop (trying to drag a file to another drive so I can move, not copy for example) the (very pretty) sphere pops up.

I have looked through the settings but can't see the middle mouse button bound anywhere at all.

Could anyone point me to the correct setting? I don't mind cut/paste but prefer to drag and get a pop up. Incidentally, middle mouse clicks inside applications are fine.

I think the setting you are looking for is 'Rotate Cube' in ccsm.
On the Bindings tab you can change the 'Initiate' setting, button 1 is left, 2 middle, 3 right &c.

I checked in there, initiate is the default - CTRL+ALT+Button1

No reference to Button3 anywhere in there
