Hi.

Doing okay. Wondering about lunch... Didn't bring anything with ( :( ) so I'm thinking maybe one of those portobello mushroom burgers on the way home. But then I realized I've got karate class later tonight and that might be a little too heavy, besides I could go straight home and have a proper salad. I've got this avocado that's ripe and you know how THAT is... Once they're ripe it's only a day two before they start to go too soft and get yucky black spots and what not and that's no good.

Then there's the whole criss-cut fries or home-style fries if I go with the burger... GAH!!!

Check it, freeze those burgers after covering them with olive oil
this makes a crust that locks moisture in when you sear it on the grill
the freezing part makes it slowly cook to perfection.

mash the avocado in a blender with some egg and a dash of vinigar (this is basically mayonnaise) and use it as a spread. also add some lemon juice to the blender to make it last for another day.

Not to sound like a jerk, but is this not in the wrong category? I'm just surprised no one pointed that out... there is usually someone who jumps on any opportunity to point that sort of thing out...

But it IS leisurely (???!!!) ...

And since I know everyone is curious... Yes, I did stop off at Carl's Jr. last night for one of their portobello mushroom burgers (which are freakin' HUGE by the way).

"Was it awesome?" I hear you asking... Yes, yes it was. I opted for the Homestyle fries as well and a Dr. Pepper.

Don't know if they have 'em where you're at, but I warn you: they are the crack-cocaine of fast-food.

Heart attack on a bun? We all gotta go sometime, babe...
