View Full Version : [ubuntu] art rage clone for ubuntu?

hey everyone

are there any programs that are like Art Rage for ubuntu? i dont have a tablet pc, but i want an art program that has the same cool tools etc so i can just paint to my hearts content. :)

The gimp is cool enough for me, but you could try to run this app in wine.

im looking for somethin a lot less complicated. the thing is, i dont have art rage :) im looking for a free alternative

another good example of what im looking for is something like Ink Art. maybe i can download this and run it with wine. i'd rather get a native ubuntu program though

i found one: http://mypaint.intilinux.com/
its almost exactly what i was looking for. comes in a .deb package so its very easy to install.

It's been suggested you try using ArtRage in Wine... well, there's an easier alternative for ArtRage:

I haven't used it in about a year, but when I did use wine-doors, it allowed easy installation of ArtRage and other nifty Windows programs, using a simple point-and-click interface.

I'd never tried ArtRage before then... it's a great little program!

i was trying to get AWAY from using wine :) mypaint pretty much solved my artrage clone question.
