Hugin and 9.04

has anyone gotten hugin to work with 9.04 and how?

i can get the images to align well and then hugin will create the .tiff files then it bombs out. anyone have any tips.

the one in the repo works aok for me, so does the latest 0.8 release candidate from hugin.sf.net compiled from scratch.

To find out why yours is crashing out, try starting hugin from a terminal (just open a terminal and type hugin) and then build a pano, when it crashes, go back to the terminal and see if there is a error code or reason... then post that here.

no such luck no error code in terminal. fully frustrated I installed hugin compiled for windows under wine. it works flawlessly, but a little lower.

I just wish I knew why it doesn't work natively for me in 9.04

I am running AWN and Compize, if anyone thinks that might make a difference.

I have issues with hugin as well. I've found that autostitch works very well, and is easier to use IMO. It's a windows program, but it runs without issue under wine.

Has anyone installed the 2009.2.0 release ?
Is there a ready deb package for it ? Or how do I go about installing it from the .tar.gz ? (Experience Level:Beginner! Assist accordingly)
Or point me to a page with instructions.
I installed 0.8.0 on Ubuntu on another machine using the three deb files from Softpedia. But they dont seem to install properly on Kubuntu on my current machine.
