hi i have also had a problem with uo and wine tho the error i got was to do with fonts ... i wonder if downloading the mstrue type fonts will work havent tried that yet ... otherwise the install instructions from uostratics.com worked fine

Re: fonts & the like, have look at WineTools, if you haven't allready, it makes it easy to install lots of windoze fonts, .dll's, m$ installer, etc.

One caveate, don't install IExplorer if you also want to run DVDshrink under Wine... IE stuffs up DVDshrink's display... (I know, to most of us that is such a bazzaar conection!!?)

I dont't know about samuri empire, but AoS installs perfectly in wine and runs well too. I had to use a hacked client though, and modify a few things according to the isntructions on my freeshard.

Are you on a freeshard or one of origin's servers?

i did get it to work ages ago... say 6 months or just after i started this thread it wasnt actually that hard in the end ill add an attachment that explains how i did it but i dont know if it will help you

I know a lot of people that does not like Iris. For example, all the GM's on Drachenfels and Europa don't like it very much at all :D

Seriously, it does look nice though, I'll surely try it if I ever go to a private shard.
