Hi

Around two or three times a day my mouse (solid Logitech 3 wheel corded optical) cursor decides to go for a skip and shoots off to the left of my screen. It coincides with a green light flashing on my router indicating internet activity.

I have turned off my ssh server and disallowed any unsolicited traffic from the wan side.

Does anybody else experience this? Am I being hijacked?

Highly doubt it has anything to do with the router activity. Is the surface you're using the mouse on clean? Base of the mouse clean? etc

Optical mice can be finicky sometimes, especially with certain imperfections on the surface you're using it on. Could also be that the laser is acting up.

First call would be a good cleaning of the mouse and the surface you're using it on, then try with a mouse pad or some such.

The only way someone could be messing with your mouse from the Internet would be if you had remote desktop enabled, port(s) forwarded and no authentication or notification enabled.
