8.04 LTS better for gaming?

Hey Guys,

I was just wondering, is the fact that the LTS build is more stable, make it better for gaming than the current 9.04 release. I'm having problems with compiz and my radeon card (common issue) where theres a delay when resizing windows, so i'm thinking of downgrading.

What do you guys think?

if you have an ATi card, then yeah it probably is, as long as you dont wanna do any video editing.

Whats the problem with video editing?

it just crashes a lot, especially if you try too use Kdenlive.
