dvd mounting problem

I run intrepid and have been having increasing difficulty with mounting commercial dvds. Most won't mount at all so its not even a question of playing at this point. Some still mount so its not a complete failure.

I have tried reinstalling sources such as gstreamer and medibuntu. I have tried manually mounting the dvds. Nothing.

Any help? I have a DVD mounting problem that is mounting!!!

I had a similar problem recently (it randomly affected commercial disks, home burned disks and blanks CDs and DVDs). As it turned out my burner was just on its last legs.

Granted this probably isn't what you want to hear, but that's been my experience.
