Hell, i was trying to setup dual monitors a Samsung SyncMaster 22 inch widescreen 1680x1050. and a 17 inch Sony SDM-HS73 1280x1024.

im trying to get the seperate X displays to work so you have the 2 desktops on both screens. Well i did the setup through the Nvidia setup by running

sudo nvidia-settings, and i told it do run seperate x display and i restarted, and the second display came on and it looked like everything was working good, but everytime i open a terminal or anything there are no borders around anything leaving me to use file>>quit or file>>exit. And all the terminal windows open up with a whitebox rather then how they should. Im not sure if this was already posted here, but if someone could help me it would be greatly appreciated..

Thanks.. Need anymore information let me know.

The solution for me was here:
System => Preferences => Appearance => Visual Effects, Change to NONE.
