Hey everyone,

I'm making some screencasts with recordmydesktop, but I need to show what keys I'm pushing. Searching Google and on this forum turns up a lot of desktop recording software, but nothing I could see to show keys pressed.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I notice that HeathenX's Inkscape tutorials use something like this (bottom right corner) on what looks like Ubuntu. You can see what I mean at:

Thanks in advance!

From an earlier thread on this topic: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1076478
it sounded like it can be done but not in any 'convenient' or 'beginner' manner.

Hope that helps.

Thanks!

I just found an ideal solution. I've posted it at the thread you linked to.
