my name is the same as in ubuntuforums... something around lvl 36

i usually stick around UK servers, they seem to have always almost full servers and my ping is also acceptable

i like being a marksman (hide+bomb) or hunter (venom), depending on which team i'm in...

I do on occasion. there are a few games (native) I play on Linux. Also a few I play that are Wine (wintendo) games. And my kids are also playing these games including Savage 2.

Speaking of native games. This weekend several of my kids asked me if I would buy a copy for each of them of Never Winter Nights 1 and Savage 2. They watch me playing that and Savage 2 and are all fired up :-)

Are you running 64-bit? You need to run the dedicated_server.sh, then it will work.

EDIT: It worked after I typed ./savage2_update.bin into the terminal.

Great game, horrible company that needs to diaf.

They bait you in with free accounts to play on the level 1-10 servers that are always full and populated then once you pay you find a ghost town of severs on the next teir and they lock you from returning to the low level populated servers.

Doesn't look like things have gotten any better either, just saw on thier forums they are asking for FREE servers and moving away from paid server providers. I'd rather see Sony running this freak show.

Just saying, wish someone would have told me before hand. Maybe this stick wouldn't have gone so far up my ****.

there are UK and US servers that are almost full all the time... and 10$ is not much for a game that good
