Hi everyone,

I've just started work on a project which aims to provide an easy to use wizard for generating configs for the tint2 panel. You can find out more about this project here (http://code.google.com/p/tintwizard/).

There are bound to be bugs with it and so far it has pretty limited features and error testing. It can still produce some pretty neat panel configs though. Check out the examples (http://code.google.com/p/tintwizard/wiki/Examples) wiki page.

The most recent version can be downloaded from here (http://code.google.com/p/tintwizard/downloads/list). The archive just contains a readme file and a Python script. You shouldn't have any difficulty running it - unless I've screwed up somewhere :p

I'd appreciate any feedback you could give and would like your help in making this into something useful. Thanks.

Requirements:
Python, PyGTK (http://www.pygtk.org/downloads.html), tint2 (get the latest version here (http://code.google.com/p/tint2/))

(Hope I posted this in an appropriate sub-forum)

wow that looks pretty sweet. I think a lot of people would like to see a package for this in ArchLinux :p

Thanks for the comment :) Good point about Arch - I should probably drop by their forums soon.

That wanted to say thank you Asdfhjkla for tintwizard, it has made fiddling around with tint2 much easier to experiment with different looks, or just to tweak a "hilight" colour to match a new wallpaper/theme :]

Thank you :]

Thanks for the kind comments everyone. If there's anything you'd like to see added, I'd appreciate any suggestions. I am a bit wary of investing too much time into this though, since it appears that the author of tint is actually working on a similar tool for a future version of tint2 :)
