G'day all! I am using The GIMP ver. 2.2.8 & it doesn't have the "HELP" plugin. I have downloaded "gimp-help-2.0.9.tar.gz" & i 'think' I know how to extract it - I do not think it needs 'compiling'? - BUT the "ARK" wants to extract it to my HOME folder & I am sure that that is not right. I did a 'locate gimp' in Konsole & got too many hits, (although I think there was one that ended in "/PLUGINS"...is this the directory that i want to extract to? or is it another directory altogether?or should I make a new directory "Gimp Help" here or elsewhere? I am sure that the Help files need to be in the correct directory to work with the Context Help (F1) in The GIMP.) Any advice gratefully accepted - thankyou.

Is a better way if you do a search for "gimp-help" on synaptic, you can find there all you need.

Regards.
