I use Vista Enterprise in work, and to be honest it works fine. The only thing with Vista is you need some decent hardware for it

I hated XP, and came to linux because it just wouldn't work (among other reasons).
In january I reluctantly bought a new desktop, with vista. Having been bombarded with horrorstories for the past months, I didn't expect much. But I was pleasantly suprised. Granted, it's still a closed OS, but when it comes to stability it's better than my experiences the past years on linux.

There's lots wrong with vista, but there's lots wrong with linux as well. It's just not as bad as everybody makes it out to be...

Well, there is a reason he got it on his desktop.
I don't think Vista sucks *** either, but microsoft does, and it is damn fun to joke about how worthless it is. Then ofcourse it is alwas weird to sit down at an entirely different OS and think you can do everything like you are used to. I might as well hate ubuntu, cause I'm used to my arch install, and ubuntu is far from that.
