A couple days ago, I upgraded from Kubuntu Hardy to Jaunty. Ever since then, flash on Firefox has been giving me one problem after another. Video on youtube is choppy (though strangely Google Video works fine), and video and other flash applets on websites don't seem to work at all.

Flash also no longer seems to work in Opera, at all.

I've been lurking about these forums, trying to find any resolutions to the problem. I first tried uninstalling Adobe Flash 10, and replacing it with Flash 9. Didn't work. After that, I tried uninstalling that and installing gnash. Didn't work.

Is there any way to possibly get flash working the way it did in Hardy Heron, or am I totally SOL?

I'm running Kubunty Jaunty Jackalope with 250 GB of HDD space, 1 GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce 8300 GS.

Try removing flash and reinstalling using the process described HERE (http://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/install-flash-10-ubuntu-linux-64bit.html). It worked for me...

Solved it, using this little remedy right here (http://geekery.etherknet.com/?p=168). I was a little worried when the second line asked me to uninstall GNOME, but I reinstalled it afterward, and it still worked nicely.
