Is anyone else having issues with sound glitches after the latest slew of updates in 9.04? It's not a constant problem, but every 15 seconds or so. This occurs in Rhythmbox, Movie Player, etc.. I thought maybe the CPU was busy, so I checked System Monitor and ran Top as root from the Command Line and everything looks normal.

Yes, in Rhythmbox it randomly pauses for maybe less than a quarter of a second, really annoying! It pauses and then continues, so the beat it wrong. This happens once or twice a minute but it is random. I am running 64 bit 9.04. Any ideas how to fix it?

Yes indeed I have this issue too. I run Ubuntu 9.04 on a Thinkpad T41p, the kernel is the 2.6.28-13-generic which came with a recent update. The problem also existed with the 2.6.28-11 kernel which came with the initial 9.04 drop. There was no such issue with Ubuntu 8.04, from which I upgraded.

I have found that booting to my old kernel 2.6.24-23-generic the problem does not occur.
