I received my Pangolin Performance laptop yesterday and I'm quite pleased with it. However, it did arrive with a dead pixel. Is there a policy concerning this considering the laptop is brand new?
regards,
Rob

I've never heard of a stuck pixel. Something new to learn every day. Thanks!
Tom: Is there any warranty issue involved in this?

It has to have 6 dead pixels to be covered under warranty.
Please see our dead pixel policy here (bottom of the page)...

thanks for the help. I had a stuck red pixel, and used jscreenfix, http://www.jscreenfix.com/ for about 20 minutes or so, and it was still there. then i tried a pixel massage, and it was still there. then i did jscreenfix some more and now it's gone.

I've got a couple of red pixels and tried jscreenfix but it didn't help. All of the sites that suggested "pixel massage" sounded a bit harsh to me; I can just picture myself jabbing a hole in the display screen. Maybe I'll try jscreenfix again. The pixels are off to the side of the screen and you don't see them unless you look at them, but of course because they're there, you're always looking at them.

It's not a deep-tissue pixel massage. It's more of a seductive, gentle type of thing.

thats how i fixed the 1's on the lcd screen i bought for $25(19" acer al1916). i had about 10 of them, i used a marker wrapped in a washcloth to gently press down on the pixel, you can see the area around glow white from the pressure, it may take a couple of tries or just 1 to bring it back to life, you might even have to do it while its booting up. anyway they are fixable.
