chat desktop

ok this is gonna sound stupid, but i saw a screenshot of a guy with ubuntu desktop and he had a chat app going and it had no window, it was just like typing on his desktop with someone and there was no program open, just the running dialog of text. you may have seen it in "hacker" movies..... does anyone know where to find this?

it's pretty easy actually, just enable transparency effects through compiz. make your terminal transparent and run a terminal based irc client.

You can get this effect using Tilda thats available in the repos, and zinc which you can get here http://larvalstage.com/zinc/.
