I'm in no way sure if this has ever been suggested before but a ubuntu forum radio station would be pretty awesome, search didn't return anything so I said I'd give it a go. In the past working as a GSP, the whole thing is none to difficult to setup.

My two cents anyway.

What would you want on this radio station? Wouldn't something like last.fm or shoutcast be better?

Well like music firstly, and then talk about stuff in the forums or whatever. Shoutcast is used for bradcasting on the internet...... and last.fm no asks you to pay. I just like music and computers so I thought it'd be a nice idea to combine the two. Last time I checked you can get licenses fairly cheap.
