There are two different servers at my place of work that the person who was doing IT before me refuses to give up the passwords too, one is running server 2000 and the other is running Xp Pro. Is there a simple way out there to either A.) crack the password or B.) force a change of password? I can get the data off using a LiveCD if the passwords can't be gotten around but I would prefer not to have to reformat the server.

Anyone care to point me in the right direction?
~Jeff

I recieved this pm from the op:
The IT prior to myself, I've kinda gotten it all dumped on me until (if) they find someone more qualified, has left our company and is the only one with the passwords to log onto our server that all of our sales are run through. I would much rather try to force a password change/figure out the current one than doing a file back up and a reformat.

Sorry if I was not clear the first time,
~Jeff

I'll move the thread into the security discussions. I'll quote this pm in the thread.
