[xfce] No sound [Archive]

This is pretty annoying, I have no sound and can't hear anything.

With all due respect, a little more information would help.

What soundcard do you have, what version of Ubuntu are you running. Are you using Pulseaudio or Alsa or some other sound system.

Has the sound ever worked? If so, when and what has changed since the last time it did (Different OS, hardware etc)

Then maybe someone can help you - "It's broken" rarely gets help
