Hi all!

I'm looking to download an html version of the complete linux man pages (particularly: commands, system management commands, and system calls). Does a download of this sort exist?

Thanks!

yes. you can search google for say "apt-get man page" and voila I get http://www.die.net/doc/linux/man/man8/apt-get.8.html

Hmm. Thanks for that. Been to that site already. Perhaps I didn't make myself very clear. I'd need to get an html version of the man pages (section 1, 2 and 8 ) as per this page: http://www.die.net/doc/linux/man/

This would run on a win2k server with linux, winxp and win2k systems accessing this file (these files).

(how come you have that elderly man's face "X"-ed off?)

*Hopefully* you aren't from the USA... It's President Bush's face... The President of the United states of America... and I don't like him.

Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7 (http://www.tldp.org/docs.html) are available here. But I've never heard of a download containing everything. There are a lot of apps and commands!

Thanks Galoot,

hmm.. :-k I've been to that site before - they link up the man pages with those from kernel.org... that's a good thing, but I'd really need sections 1, 6, and 8! HA! precisely the ones that are missing...

Why oh why aren't man pages available in html format for download, hence offline reference? Need to figure something out.
