Can anyone help me with some advice on use/syntax and error conditions with iscsi.
I'm trying to establish an iscsi connection to a ZFS drive on an Opensolaris box. My ultimate objective (if it can be achieved) is have a Ubuntu/MythTV HTPC rsync'ing to a ZFS NAS, effectively. Note that neither box is running a server version but I don't think that's an issue here.
I have eventually established both target and initiator setups.
Target sees:
iscsitadm list target -v >

There is nothing wrong with that but this is larger than 1024 and could in certain setups cause problems with:
1) software that runs at boot time (eg old versions of LILO)
2) booting and partitioning software from other OSs (eg DOS FDISK, OS/2 FDISK)
Warning: invalid flag 0x0000 of partition table 4 will be corrected by w(rite)

Can someone please explain:
1. Why should I need to fdisk the vol. Ideally I just want to mount it and use it as-is.
2. What are the errors telling me.
3. Note that the target is not a whole disk. Is this part of the problem.
4. If this isn't going to work, where should I go next ?
Any advice welcome.
