Hi Ive setup Mythbuntu on an old PC and contrary to the warnings of it may not work very well its fantastic and me and my um love it! which is something and a half. We did have an odd issue where all the voices disappeared form the source but this was fixed by a reboot of frontend

My real issue is the fact that it wont detect the IR reciever built into my TD 500 and no, it isnt the troublemaker type and I have researched many solutions but they all seemed to refer to problems which are fixed in the latest distro of v4l-dvb, which i compiled and installed myself. I had to do this in recovery mode as mythbuntu backend was holding onto the capture card and wouldnt let me replace the drivers.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks
/Sed

Did you have any luck with this?

I upgraded today from 8.10 and had a couple of hours of no remote, at first I thought it was HAL problems again like I had in 8.10.

But I did a build of the version of v4l-dvb I used in 8.10 and that fixed the problem.
