I'm running a Mythbuntu 8.04 system that has been working flawlessly. It has a PVR 250. But my free TV antenna channels have been one by one dropping off. So I figure it's time to buy a HDTV tuner. I was thinking about the HD HomeRun as my tuner until I saw that someone was having issues with it. So does anyone have a recommendation for a free over the air tuner (USA) that does work ok with Mythbuntu? I'm also looking to build a second system (64 bit) and will need a remote and video card for it. I would really appreciate any recommendations that have proven in the trenches. Thanks!!!

I've been using the KWorld 115 to record OTA. It's digital and seems to capture HD just fine. (I think tuners are either digital or analog--not sure where "HD" fits into that, but I get a wide variety of qualities, from 2GB/hour up to 8GB/hour.)
At the moment I'm having trouble installing the driver with 9.04, but other than that, it's been fine.

HD HomeRun should work fine, it is ompletely supported by MYthTV
Stay away from the HVR-2250, its happauge's newest card but to get it to works requires a good deal of work, I made a tutorial around here somewhere
the best card would be the pcHDTV HD-5500
Its built for linux, sure it cost a few bucks more than other tuners, but it compatible right form the box. so less work.
