I just can't get OneNote 2007 to install under Wine 1.1.23, the most recent version. I can get past the serial entering, license agreement, and install now parts, but around halfway through the installation, it stops and it comes with (inside the setup, not a separate dialog box) that the setup experienced an error and could not continue the installation. Tried reporting the bug to Wine, but got a response saying to like do some stuff that I don't get at all. Complete newbie to Wine here.

Considering the fact that I need OneNote, this is kind of a problem for me, and is the one thing that is keeping me from completely migrating to Ubuntu.

If its anything like office 2007, you need to use wine 1.1.16. There's a regression in the latest wines.

Yeah, alright. But how do I switch back over from Wine 1.1.23 back to 1.1.16?

While for office 07, has instructions to get wine 1.1.16. Basically you just download the deb from their site.
