I am trying to dual-boot Vista and Ubuntu, and Vista is already installed on my computer. However, when I try to install Ubuntu, it doesn't recognize that there are any existing partitions. Any idea's why that may be and how to fix that?

give us some more detail to work with. At what stage of the Ubuntu installation did you realize this. Did you try the "specify partitions manually" option?

If all else fails, you can try WUBI. Install that by inserting your Ubuntu CD while you're running Vista.
