I'm planing on buying a Serval Professional when I come back from my BMQ and would like to know how well its works for other people. I'm planing on using it for a variety of thing including Starcraft 2 (hopefully it will work) Ill probably get the following.

15.4" WUXGA Matte Finish LCD (1920 x 1200)
nvidia Quadro FX 2700M with 512 MB DDR3
Core 2 Quad Q9000 2.00 GHz 1066 MHz FSB 6 MB L2 (45 Watt)
8 GB – DDR3 1066 MHz x 2 DIMMs
500 GB 5400 RPM SATA II

Go to Phoronix for a good review of the Serval. The link is:

I have a rather new Pangolin, which is running well, though I have chosen to stay with 8.10.

If my Pangolin and the Phoronix review are any indication, the Serval is a good machine, well worth examination.

I've been running a Serp5 since October exclusively. I love, love, love it. Great looks, rugged build, and very capable of anything I've thrown at it.

I typically have some proprietary software running on XP within VirtualBox and use OpenOffice, manage our network, and browse various online scientific databases simultaneously.

Works for me, and then some.
