Hello all... I have an hp laptop and I want to do a fresh install of ubuntu 9.04. However, the laptop is a netbook and doesn't have a cd-rom so that leaves me with one option i think. How do you install from the flash drive?

If you have good internet connection and some spare space in your hard disk then I recommend you: Wubi: http://wubi-installer.org/

ubuntu (http://www.linux-archive.org/ubuntu-user/)

You can easily make an Ubuntu (or any other) bootable CD iso file into a bootable USB flash with Unetbootin (http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net). It will even download it for you or you can use an iso you've already downloaded.
