Hi , I posted a thread about this in General Help about 1-2 weeks ago. No one really replied , so i thought i'd post it here.

I installed Jaunty about a month ago. And Now whenever i am downloading something with Firefox sometimes the Download just hangs at say 20% or 25% or something...Sometimes it just runs fine.. I also keep getting thrown off Pidgin/XChat IRC , whenever i am logged into Yahoo! or the freenode channels..I keep getting disconnected from those services...

What can i do ?

Thanks.

There might be a problem with your wireless network, if you are using wireless. Try installing the linux backports module for jaunty to improve performance.

I should've mentioned. I am using a Wired DSL connection. It's 256 kbps , and when it hangs at 99% downloading a 600 MB file (which takes 6 hours...), it ticks me off so much :((

The Issue seems to have been resolved. I was using a Beetel 110 BXI Router at first but then with all these problems , i gave the Beetel 220 BX a try and configured it as PPPoE. The Connection seems to be working flawlessly now.. ;)
