Howdy
Due to a bug in Gnome that kept me from using Maya properly I had to switch to the XFCE Desktop to avoid the problem. Everything is fine so far except one problem, the volume hotkeys aren't working. All the other ones work fine so far. Anyone have any ideas?
I'm using a Panp4n
Thanks

Sorry, I don't know my way around xfce. Maybe jdb will know. He's an xubuntu guy, I think.

I have Xubuntu installed on a Daru2 & the labeled keys ( Fn-F7 Fn-F8 ) work, I don't know about the Panp4n.
It might make a difference whether you installed Xubuntu or just got xfce4 with apt-get or synaptic.
If you can't get the keys to work you might try the Mixer applet.
Just right click on the toolbar to add it.
Right clicking the icon brings up a menu to set sound properies.
Left clicking the icon brings up a mixer panel.
Scrolling on the icon changes the volume.

Thank you for the replies!
After googling around for a while I found a solution! The instructions were for a different laptop but they worked perfectly for my Pangolin as well.
