graphic error after installation

After installing mythbuntu on my computer, the configuration screen of mythtv opens but i can only see a white framed box with no contents in the middle of the screen. afer pressing randomly keys on my keyboard the screen changes and i can see some white boxes on a grey background but still no text or buttons.

I have an Athlon XP 1800, 512 MB DDR-RAM, ATI Radeon 9200 and a Hauppauge PVR 250.

Are you using the open source radeon drivers (it asks you during installation)? I had a similar problem when using the closed source ones.
