hi,

i would like to know, how i can upload my SVG-images, such as various self-created icons to the gallery, it is not a supported extension?!

should i upload an tarball of the image?

as i found out while writing this thread, SVG is supported in the forum, but not in the gallery...strange

thanks for the answers, flo

You can open svg in GImp with the svg plug in and save a copy as another file extention to post a pic as for putting a file up think it would have to be zipped.

i tried to upload it as an tarball, but it still said "invalid file-extension". though it was a tar.gz.

In inkscape
File>Export Bitmap

I though the whole point of svg was to be able to make images from a script.

whats the point in turning them into bitmaps especially if browsers like firefox will display the script as an image?

because the forum doesn't support it...or at least in the gallery...sounds strange...
I didn't know it was working anywhere on the forum.
