Is there any way of telling Thunar file manager to ignore certain mount points (and their subsequent sub directories) and just immediately delete them, rather that the usual action of moving them to the waste basket?

The reason. I'm copying music and video files to the system and adding and deleting data files as I go. Everytime I delete, it gets moved, which takes some time for a series of programme videos. I know I can do the same in terminal, bit I was just wondering. The base for ignores woukd be something like /data, which has the mythtv data beneath that.

Not sure in Thunar, but in nautilus, if you do a Shift+Del, it skips the trash can
