I have tried to install 9.04 to imac 7,1 inside virtual box version 2.2.4(for intel mac users) using this tutorial

Installation seems to go smooth but after I install software and run update manger and reboot the virtual machine only displays a black screen, but it says ubuntu 9.04 running. If I dont install anything from add/remove applications or if I dont update system it appears to work okay.
I also followed the documentation from virtualization ubunto 9.04 but no luck.

I am a newb to linux and code in general, detailed instructions would be greatly appreciated!
