View Full Version : Where do you store your wallpapers at?

I usually download wallpapers and store them in a wallpaper folder. I can't stand all my stuff being all over the place when I download. Where do you store your wallpapers at?

i use dropbox to sync both my workstations (work and home), and my previous laptop as well as the new one im on now. they have clients for windows, mac, and linux and with 2gb free storage im able to use it for my various psd's, website files, and here recently my backgrounds so they my backgrounds are available on every machine im on.

under linux the location is ~/Dropbox/Backgrounds

when i first began i just sorta scattered them about, but within the past few years i've been naming folders based on when i downloaded them. 20090530, 20090529, etc. for instance and drop whatever i've downloaded that day into those folders.

I really need to clean up that folder now. I've been collecting wallpapers for about 5 years and I have a lot of ugly, low resolution ones :(

It's a little under 300MB big right now, though I've cleaned it out several times.

For some reason, when I was using Hardy and Intrepid, I had two wallpapers folders: Wallpapers and Wallpapers2. Somewhere along the way, I deleted Wallpapers, so for quite a while I still had Wallpapers2.

and my home folder on separate primary partition, so this folder will survive even if I'll format my root partition for new OS instalation
