BlackWidow / burp suite linux alternative

i am studying information security and i want to know if their is a software like burp but a free one for websites vulnerabilities test. BlackWidow is a free one but it is made for windows so could any one help

W3AF, Paros Proxy, RAT Proxy, ProxyStrike and SpikeProxy.

Burp Proxy is free, at least for the most part. You need to pay for it for the more "enhanced" features (iirc) but the version you download free of charge is just fine. I think the biggest limitation with Burp Proxy is the repeater/fuzzer/intruder/whatever it's called limitations but you can make up for that with the free version and a stateless protocol fuzzer.
