First things first, I am a ubuntu 9.04 gnome 64-bit user, I am currently running wine 1.1.22.
I downloaded the diablo 2 and LOD "blizzard downloaders" from blizzard.com/store, I ran the blizzard downloaders in wine and have both folders containing the install exe and other files for necessary for the game in my wine c: drive located at "/home/gr3yfox/.wine/dosdevices/c:."
I open the first folder for just diablo 2 not LOD. I run the install.exe and it pops up in my emulated desktop. I click "Install Diablo 2."
I agree to the terms, and it pops up a window asking for my name and cd key.
I start to type but as soon as I hit one key it freezes and pops up with a program error saying "The prgram Installer.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvience."
and below stating "This can be caused by a problem in the program or deificiency in Wine. You may want to check [winhq site]..." just saying I can report the bug if its not at the site and so forth.
any suggestions?
