Hey all,
I'm new to Ubuntu, only been up and running for a week. I'm having a problem with my sound, when I first installed Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope 9.04 to my HP Pavilion DV2615nr laptop it had sound, but a week later its been dropped.
Let me explain in greater detail: I can't hear the start up sound, login sounds, or anything that the OS was producing on Monday. In fact, I go to youtube.com and I cannot even hear ANY sound at all. But here is the kicker, I open up an MP3 and I can hear it just fine!
Rest asurd that I know it is not muted, I did go through ALL the preferences in the sound settings, my laptop speakers are set all the way up to the max, youtube's sound settings are up.
HELP!!!
