I am having HD issues, bad Superblock from my error messages.
I have about decided that the easiest thing will be to do a complete re-install, I'm using 8.04 now and been advised to upgrade to 9.04, ok.
I downloaded the file 9.04 desktop i386 iso and it is sitting in
my DL box.
I would like to check the md5sum as advised by the DL page.
What do I do and how do I do it?
I tried opening terminal and entering the command
cd download_directory am told no such directory exists?
What am I doing wrong the file is sitting in my DL list all
699Mb.
Is there a step by step key by key for this?
I tried the search for install 9.04
but that gets no where as well.

Thanks
I might end up purchasing a new HD for my Toshiba Laptop Satellite A105 but that is different ordeal.

Actually stick to 8.04, at least thats how i feel with all the bloody intel graphics card issues 9.04 has.
8.04 is far more stable anyhow, and will be supported for a little longer then 9.04
