I am playing Lord of the Rings online with wine and I finally got everything working good. The one problem that I am having is that every time that I zone to a different area such as walking thru doors I am automatically brought back to the launchpad screen for pylotro. It doesnt say anything on the screen but at the bottom of the screen it gives me the option to abort and I am able to logg back on again with no problems. Has anyone else had this problem and how did they fix it so that it doesnt happem.

Ubuntu 9.04 w/ all updates
Nvidia 180.44
Wine 1.1.22
Pylotro

As a rough guess you are using the high res graphics and wine is crashes with a memory error while trying to do a bulk load of the new textures, probably not detecting how much memory your card has (so defaults to the default which is pretty low) or you have told it you have more graphics memory than you have.

When I first started playing it I had the graphics set to low and I was still having the same problem. I read a post about modifying the settings for my video in regedit and I changed it to the correct settings that my video card supports. I am using a GTX 280 and the memory on it is over a gig. I have increased my video settings in the game but I havent played it long enough lately to see if I am still having the same problem or not.

Since you are posting vague conflicting information (again) I can't help you and don't really want to slowly extract little bits of information from you (again).

There is nothing vague about the answer that I gave. You asked me a question and I gave you the best answer that I have. If you don't know the answer to my question then say so instead of being an *** about it

First you say
The one problem that I am having is that every time that I zone to a different area such as walking thru doors I am automatically brought back to the launchpad screen for pylotro.
Note, no mention in your posted specs that you've made registry tweaks.

Then you post
but I havent played it long enough lately to see if I am still having the same problem or not.
Also in that post you talk about having made registry tweaks, it sounds like you have played a bit but not enough to test if that registry tweak (which I don't know if it was in place before the original post because of your posting style) work when you state that you can reproduce it by shifting from inside to outside which isn't much more than an easy couple of minutes test.

If you don't know the answer to my question then say so instead of being an *** about it
I can't pluck answers out of the air, I can make guesses based on prior experience (my first post in this thread) and information relating to the issue at hand, reliable consistent information.

You want me to admit I don't know the answer to your particular problem, fine I do not know at present how to solve the problem you are experiencing. Happy?

I would have tried to help further if you could give decent information (did you try with WINEDEBUG blank?) and I admit my previous post should have been worded better but I can only work with the information at hand.

Oh and lose the personal insults.

Since you haven't offered any further information I'll assume that you have resolved your issue and stop looking for a solution.

I am not sure if the problem has been taken care of or not. I haven't had the time to log on and play for any period of time. When I get the time to check it out and if I am still having the same problems i will post the problem that I am having and try to be as descriptive as possible to the problem.
