No sound after upgrade to 9.04 on Dimension 9200

I have a Dimension 9200 that I just upgraded from 8.10 to 9.04 64-bit. I had sound before but I have no sound now. I've checked the audio levels to make sure that nothing is muted and checked to make sure that the system is recognizing the integrated sound card. Where do I go from here?

Maybe try the Comprehensive walk through in the link at the bottom of this reply. I followed it through all 5 steps and it solved my sound and video problems . Using a Dell Inspiron 1521 here.

Just follow along and read the walkthrough. All you have to do is copy commands and paste them into your console.

Maybe not the best solution or easiest solution but it worked for me.
