Has anyone been able to successfully run Battlefield Heroes in Wine? I tried it on my brother's laptop, but it didn't seem to work.

Something about PB that does not allow Linux to run any Battlefield game online. I personally have not successfully gotten BF2142 to run in ubuntu because of the authentication issues.

I played BF Heroes in Wine a few months ago for 10 minutes, pretty boring game. Not as good as BF1942, which I play now and then on a server my isp hosts with PB disabled because it causes problems even for people with Windows.

Battlefield Heroes is kind of different from the other Battlefield games. I guess it's fully possible that it uses Punkbuster though.

It does use it and there is no chance of getting PB to work with Wine unless you cheat the same way you would on Windows because it checks to see if you are using genuine windows.
