I have installed Jaunty 9.04 on a second hard disk on my G4. It all looked to be going OK, I used the power pc iso disk. It works fine booting from CD. I hoped I could boot from the installed OS on the second hard disk.
However when I reboot it always starts OSX instead, never gives me the option. I tried holding ALT down , it gave me the option of HD or CD but not 2nd hard disk HDD .. like it couldnt see it.
NOW.. I am no expert, I only just put the 2nd disk in, its an IDE disk, I didnt change any jumpers or anything, I just hauled out the old ZIP drive and bunged the disk into its place. Works OK in OSX .
Can anyone give me any idea how to boot from this 2nd hard drive ? Do I need some yaboot magic ?
