Hi m8s,

Just did a jaunty install on an older pc. Installed without a problem. I then added a slave hdd, that had an old winXP setup. The intention is to have the slave just as data disk, so that I can easily upgrade or reinstall ubuntu on the master disk without losing all my downloaded files.

I can see the slave, and access, but I figured i should reformat the disk with a linux partition. I unmounted the slave, opened up gparted and was given several options to reformat. Gparted set the default as msdos (didnt see an option for ntfs), but I was unsure if this was the right option to choose.

My question is : what partition should I format the slave? Is it ext3, ext2 or something else?
