i've searched a little online but not found too much, are there any good, fairly modern (ie graphical, etc.) mmorpgs for linux? maybe in the repository?

There is a java based one called RuneScape and alot of people play it. Myself included.

www.runescape.com There is updates everyweek for members. Free players just get the occasional one every now and again.

i haven't tries it but supposedly planeshift (www.planeshift.it) is a good one...it looks really good anyway...
I knew I should have got insurance when my buddy sent me a video card....
I still haven't gotten it (I think he sent it out on the 29th of Dec)
I couldn't get planeshift working in mandrake but I think it was cause I am using an ATI rage fury 128 with ONLY 32mb RAM

Planeshift is little more than a tech demo at this time. He might want to try something somewhat more enjoyable/"finished". It's full of quirkes at this time and it hasn't got alot of features implemented,
As for making it work there are installers (apart from building the thing from source , \'tis a headache!), and a pretty good support forum (it works :P).

I set up Planeshift, & had a look today, it looks like it is going to be great, still a work in progress though.

Certainly something to look forward to... :KS

The initial language is in Spanish. Once you log in, press on the middle buttton and an options thing should pop up. Just change ''Espanol" to ''Ingles" and its in English. You can also change the resolution there. When things don't show up, it is either faulty or still downloading. They have made an engine where you download as you go and updates are fairly easy to obtain.

Yeah, the last time I tried it, I waited for like 20 minutes and it hadn't (apparently) downloaded yet, I think I'll give it another go here soon though...

thanks

I second the question. Is there a way to get 9 dragons to work in linux with wine?
