Quake 3 problem

Whenever I goto the console ingame, the game locks up. I can see the people moving, but I can't type, and I can scroll around my desktop. Anyone know the problem?

I have same problem with Enemy Territory, not always but sometimes does it.

The problem seem that it lose the window focus and there is no way of get it back on the game window.

I sometimes have that problem in Quake 3, I press Alt+Enter and ~, it usually comes back to focus.
