Hey guys,
I am trying to get my foot in the door in the industry as I am a recent college graduate. With that in mind, I have been preparing for the A+ Certification test as well as the CCENT test. As I've been preparing for these tests I am getting the idea that the A+ test is rather pointless. I am posting here as there seem to be some seasoned IT professionals here and I just want some opinions on if getting CISCO certified would be sufficient to replace the A+ certification. Further, if the A+ certification is worth the effort, which books are recommended for self-study. I have purchased the Mike Meyers book (http://www.amazon.com/Certification-All-One-Guide-Sixth/dp/0072263113/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1242932236&sr=8-3) but this book seems very out of date and would not be a sufficient study aid.
Thanks in advance
